About Us
Certified nurse-midwives (CNMs) are advanced practice nurses that are certified by the American College of Nurse Midwives in Washington, DC and are licensed by their state of practice. Pat and Colleen earned their master's degrees in nursing from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Nurse midwives complete many hours of continuing education in order to maintain licensure and certification. Nurse midwives are specialists in providing care to healthy women during pregnancy, birth, after birth, and for routine GYN care. Nurse midwives are especially known for their personalized care and extra time they spend with their patients. In addition, using a midwife increases a woman's chance for a successful vaginal birth. Our cesarean rate is less than ten percent. We deliver babies at St. John Health Center in Westlake, Ohio.
